How can I prepare ?

If you're wondering how to prepare for a Bikram Yoga class, we'll provide you with some key tips and advice here.
MY OUTFIT

Your outfit should be lightweight as you will get very hot and sweat a lot during your class. Opt for technical and thin materials rather than cotton. Choose leggings or shorts and sports bras. Gentlemen, for example, you can wear a tank top or come shirtless. The most important thing is to be comfortable and not feel weighed down by soaked and unsuitable clothing. Fitness or running outfits are often well-suited for the practice.

MY EQUIPMENT

Bring a yoga mat (not too thick), a bath towel to place on your mat (you may need a second towel if you want to shower in the Studio after your session), and a water bottle or a large water jug. Note that we rent mat and towel (€2 each) and sale water bottles (€2).

MY HYDRATION

Hydrate yourself well before the class (not at the last moment!). Drink regularly throughout the day. Good hydration is essential for practicing Hot Yoga. Plain water is your best ally. More than coffee, tea, or herbal tea, natural mineral water ensures proper hydration.

MY NUTRITION

Avoid coming on a full stomach. It is very uncomfortable to practice right after eating, especially with compressive postures. Allow at least 2 hours for digestion before your class. However, don’t come on an empty stomach either, as practicing in a state of hypoglycemia is not recommended. The calorie burn in Bikram Yoga is significant, and you need energy for your session. If you’re short on time but still want to practice, eat some nuts (such as almonds or walnuts) and dried fruits (apricots, figs, dates…)
